First Meler PUR system to be fitted to a Wohlenberg binder

We have now completed our first Meler PUR system install on a Wholenberg City 4000 binder, this was the only remaining popular make of binder we had not previously converted. Having already converted all the popular models of binder from Muller Martini and Kolbus we are pleased to add Wohlenberg to that list.

PUR bookbinding on older binders

For many years it has been impossible to convert older perfect binding machines to use PUR adhesives, well not any more! Futuregrafic and our partners Imansolutions have been working with Spanish gluing solutions company Meler to develop systems for all makes and age of perfect binder, it is now possible to convert even the oldest machine to use the latest PUR glues. Meler PUR Bookbinding Systems update

Sales of Meler PUR nozzle systems for bookbinding are at an all time record! In 2014 we have installed systems in the USA, France and record numbers in the UK including our first install on a new Kolbus KM600 binder.

Adding PUR adhesive systems to Muller Martini Panda / Tigra binders

So called “experts” in the bookbinding industry said it could not be done! Well it has been done by Futuregrafic and we have several very happy customers to prove it. Common myth said the spine prep on these types of binder was not suitable for PUR binding, well we have proved that you can make a perfectly bound PUR product on these machines using the standard milling station supplied with the machine.
